Tannhäuser at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma

Tannhäuser by Richard Wagner, a production by Filippo Crivelli at the Theater of the Opera of Rome, October/November 2009. Conductor: Daniel Kawka. Matthias Schnabel created together with Roberto Rebaudengo the videos for the projections during the overture and the first scene. The images and video animations conducted the audience from the forest in which roams Tannhäuser to the inside of the Venusberg: images which where, also for their elegant erotism, appreciated by the international press for being highly intriguing and perfectly inherent with the opera.
