non solo …

In March 2009 greek choreographer Nikos Lagousakos presented non solo… v.01. Non solo means ether “not only” and “not alone”. It was a work in progress dance piece that openened the Ticino dance, music and theater Festival, in Northern Italy.

non solo… v.01 was the first episode of the non solo… series. It was a collaboration between the choreographer, 8 dancers and video artist Matthias Schnabel, basically working on how each one of us deals with being alone, or not alone. A few months later, in September 2009, the piece had already become non solo… v.02, the dancers were 5, and the company had taken a name. The Plithos Dance Company. The performance was presented at the Fino-alla-fine-dell-mondo Contemporary Dance Festival of Siena in September 2009.
